On July 10, the Digital with Purpose Global Summit in Cascais, Portugal, featured a significant workshop focused on enhancing access and inclusion through digital solutions. Moderated by Giorgia Rambelli and Henriette Barkvoll Holsta, the event brought together notable speakers, including Massamba Thioye (UNFCCC), Susana Graça (City of Cascais), Manuel de Araujo (Mayor of Quelimane), Georgios Karagiannis (Huawei), and Ronald Freund (Technical University of Berlin).
The workshop highlighted the crucial role of digital technologies in enhancing citizen participation and providing inclusive services. Participants engaged in a role-playing exercise to experience the user journey and test various digital solutions.
The roundtable discussion will focus on the UNFCCC GIH Green Initiative, highlighting the theme „Systemic Innovation Empowers Future Net Zero Cities.“ It will also promote the use of ICT for Green strategies, in line with ITU T SG5 L.1480, to reduce emissions on a global scale. Furthermore, the goal is to champion environmentally friendly practices across various industries.
